Who we are
Fun Finder Treasure Hunt is operated by Explore More TX, LLC (“Fun Finder,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Questions or privacy requests may be sent to support@funfindertreasurehunt.com.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, authentication information managed by our service provider, public username, optional avatar, and optional welcome description.
- Treasure and activity information: hide and find photos, written clues, approximate ZIP code, exact hide coordinates, timestamps, whether a treasure was kept or rehidden, verification status, missing-item reports, player reports, private-hunt memberships, badges, trophies, and leaderboard activity.
- Device information: push-notification token and notification preferences when you enable alerts.
- Location information: current device location when you grant permission for nearby searches or creating a hide. Exact hide coordinates are stored to operate the hunt but are presented to ordinary players as a broader shaded hunt area.
We do not ask for a birth date, home address, phone number, or a child’s school. Public profiles should not contain personal identifying information.
How we use information
We use information to create accounts; display and verify hides and finds; provide maps, search radiuses, private hunts, levels, awards, and leaderboards; send requested alerts; investigate safety and conduct reports; prevent fraud and cheating; support users; maintain security; and comply with law.
How information is shared
Signed-in players may see public usernames, avatars, descriptions, hunt clues and photos, shaded hunt areas, gameplay totals, awards, and verified activity. Members of a private hunt may see content shared within that hunt. We do not sell personal information.
We use service providers to operate the app, including Supabase for account, database, and photo storage; Expo for app services and push-notification delivery; and OpenStreetMap-based map data and tiles. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, rights protection, or a business transfer.
Children and family play
Accounts must be created and managed by an adult. Anyone under 18 must play with an adult at all times. The service is not intended for a child to use independently, and public profiles must not include a minor’s personal information. If you believe a child’s personal information was submitted improperly, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and gameplay information while the account is active and as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and enforce the service. Missing treasures may be removed after the in-app review period. Reports may be retained as reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal obligations.
You may permanently delete your account in the app from Profile → Delete account & data. This removes the account, profile, uploaded photos, hides, finds, private hunts, awards, and ranking history, subject to limited records we must retain for legal, safety, or fraud-prevention purposes. You may also follow our account deletion instructions.
Your choices
You may update your username, avatar, description, email, and password in the app. You can turn push notifications off in app settings or device settings, choose which areas trigger alerts, leave private hunts, delete mistaken hides you own, and request account deletion.
Security and location safety
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No online system is guaranteed to be completely secure. Do not place clues or photos that reveal a home address, school, private routine, vehicle plate, or other sensitive information.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service develops. We will post the current version here and update its effective date. Material changes may also be announced in the app.
